Vietnam Airlines to open Nha Trang - Seoul air route

National carrier Vietnam Airlines will launch a new air route linking Nha Trang and Seoul from March 25, to meet the increasing demand for travel links between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea. A representative from Vietnam Airlines says this is the fourth air route launched by the national carrier to link Vietnam with Seoul, after opening routes between Hanoi/HCM City/Da Nang and Seoul. Establishing this new route is an important step in implementing the cooperation agreement on trade, tourism, and aviation promotion signed by Khanh Hoa provincial People’s Committee and Vietnam Airlines in October 2017, he says. To mark the occasion, the carrier will offer discounts for the route, with return tickets bought from now to April 30 priced from VND5.29 million (excluding fees and taxes) for flights departing between March 25 and April 30. A 170-year-old pagoda in town

Lying at the foot of Chanh Hung Bridge in District 8, HCMC, An Phu Pagoda with a history of more than 170 years is frequented by foreign tourists who want to explore its ancient and unique architecture. Its history dates back to Nguyen Dynasty which ruled the country from 1802 until 1945. Construction of the pagoda was completed in 1847 by Venerable Thich Thanh Duc under the reign of King Tu Duc. Due to the deteriorating structures, the pagoda underwent restoration in 1961 under Master Monk of Thich Tu Bach. Restoration work lasted until 2004. One of the features of the pagoda that all wall surfaces and columns for the both exterior and interior are stunningly decorated with nearly 30 tons of broken porcelain pieces, including chipped plates, bowls and vases, making it the only porcelain pagoda in HCMC. Travellers can pay by e-wallet at airport

The Vimo Technology Joint Stock Company ( and Southern Airport Services Joint Stock Company (SASCO) have signed a cooperation agreement on launching electronic payment services for Asian tourists when travelling into Vietnam. From January 1, 2018, Asian travelers will be able to use electronic payments in Vietnamese currency (VND) at SASCO duty-free and retail shops in the international terminal of HCM City’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport. Foreign customers can use WeChat Pay electronic accounts installed on their mobile phones to scan quick response (QR) codes and make payments quickly and conveniently. One of the advantages of QR code payment is that customers do not need to carry a wallet or multiple cards, so they don’t have to worry about the security of their card information at payment points.
