HCM City gears up to host debut Tet Festival 2020

Le Van Tam Park in Ho Chi Minh City will host the inaugural Tet Festival 2020 between January 3 and 5.     The festival is the first of its kind, jointly organised by the Vietnam Cuisine Culture Association and Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Tourism and is running with the aim of helping both residents and tourists experience an array of activities celebrating the Lunar New Year or Tet. One notable aspect of the event will be a food fair which is set to feature a number of the nation’s finest delicacies. The occasion will also showcase a range of folk games for both adults and children to enjoy, including Danh dao, a game which involves throwing coins, Nhay sap, a form of bamboo dancing, and Nhay day, jumping rope.
